Using good hashtags is a game changer on Instagram and most people are doing it wrong. Once I took the time to research how to do hashtags properly and looked closely at the ones I was using I soon realized I was wasting a lot of opportunity to reach a bigger audience. Since having done a little work to find the best hashtags for my posts based on the system I explain in the video I have been gaining followers so much faster and I can see that the majority of the ‘reach’ on my posts are coming in from hashtag searches. I truly wish I knew all of this way sooner and I hope that passing on the knowledge can help you start getting more likes and follows for your Instagram account. 6 TIPS FOR CHOOSING INSTAGRAM HASHTAGS:
1. Why The ‘Best’ Hashtags Aren’t The Best 1:22
When you google search ‘best hashtags’ it gives you the most popular hashtags with millions of posts which is misleading. Using this hashtag means your post will fall off the feed within seconds.
2. Hashtag Size 4:27
Need to do research on Hashtag sizes to find good sized tags. Use 5-10 medium sized tags 50-500K and 10 to 20 smaller tags 10-50K in your posts)
3. Relevancy and Quality 10:53
Does your post appear to ‘fit in’ with the hashtag and is the hashtags specific to your post.
4. A Hashtags Audience 14:54
Your hashtags should be specific to a targeted niche and smaller audience who will actually engage with the tag.
5. Repetitive Hashtags 16:14
Instagram is it doesn’t like repetitive behaviors, it gets flagged for being bot like and spammy, so don’t repeat your hashtags
6. Banned Hashtags 17:07
Using a banned hashtag will cancel out the visibility of your post under all hashtags for that post. Be aware of the banned tags to avoid this.
