I picked up an old VTEL PC-3 computer system that was originally part of the VTEL video conferencing system from 1999. The actual computer hardware is quite standard, but there are a few custom ISA and PCI adapter cards, none of which is of any use without the VTEL video conferencing system components.
I am hoping to use the computer as a test platform for installing various Linux and Unix operating systems from the turn of the century. This project is mostly just for fun, but also to see how it was to install Linux 20 years ago. This video is just the hardware and original Windows 98 system on the computer.
The system is a Pentium II running at 400Mhz. I have 256Mb of ram, a 4Gb hard drive, a DVD-RW optical drive, and ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP video card, an Ensoniq AudioPCI sound card, and an Intel EtherExpress Pro100 lan card.
