One day I'll actually give my animations a background... just not today. I blame it on the fact that the sides usually just stand around lol

Anyway, as soon as I watched the Steven Universe movie I knew I wanted to do something with Other Friends (it's just such a bop tbh) and since I am and always will be obsessed with Sanders Sides this is what came out.

The story here centers around Virgil leaving the dark sides. When he left, he pretty much abandoned Deceit and Remus and now they're back and very upset that he's befriended the light sides. So they start tormenting him and his new friends.
I originally was just gonna have Deceit fill spinel's spot, but I figured Remus fits it too and I haven't got a chance to animate his mourning star so why not. Also both Dee and Remus have slight design changes that are meant to make them look more like spinel. Remus has her eyeshadow mark things and Deceit's snake eye mimics the thing her eyes do sometimes.
I also cut a bunch of the beginning dialogue since it's not super relevant to this interpretation.

I've been working on this for FOREVER. I wanted to challenge myself to animate more complicated actions, and I also decided to start animating on twos (every other frame) instead of on threes (every 3rd frame) as I had been doing, since professional animation is usually done on twos/ones. But I didn't realize how much more time I'd end up spending on these choices, and combined with college... yeah, it's been a bit.
