CORRECTION: The conversion factor is off by 1 decimal point e.g. please use 0.025 instead of 0.25. ALSO the 881E model range is 0 to 300,000 lux. Sorry for the confusion. Shane I have calibrated a cheap Amazon Lux meter to a professional PAR sensor, the Apogee SQ500. .
The results are very predictable up to 40,000 lux or about 1,000 PAR for the different spectrum samples of white LEDs and HID grow lights.
.
THIS WILL NOT BE ACCURATE FOR BLURPLE OR OTHER SPECTRUM NOT TESTED.
.
The meter is widely available on amazon and is called the 'AP-881E Digital lux meter, range up to 400,000 lux' and costs about €30.
