Ridge Splitting with Densah Burs

Ridge Splitting with Densah Burs 71 yo patient presented with missing mandibular incisors. Pre-Op CBCT revealed insufficient ridge width at 3.5 to 4.5 mm.
Densah burs and piezo surgical instrument were used to split and expand the ridge width. Two 3.0 x 9 mm implants were placed. Although the ridge was split successfully, the buccal bone thickness was still less than the 2 mm required for stable buccal tissue contour. GBR was performed with resorbable membrane and FDBA + Bio-Oss to increase buccal bone dimension.
