According to the reports, The United Kingdom Home Secretary, Priti Patel's immigration plans mean the United Kingdom will have none left of skilled labour by the year 2030.
British corporations will have no university graduates who can develop into highly skilled workers if Priti Patel’s rules advances in the future.
A report has found that by the year 2030, British trades will run out of university graduates who can turn out to be highly skilled workers, if the United Kingdom Government’s new immigration strategies comes into practice.
German business intelligence firm Statista Investigated and suggested that the United Kingdom will have a gap of just under 300,000 highly skilled workers within the next 10 years.
In Statista’s Investigation report, Labour Shortage: Employees with a Higher Education, Statista proposes that as the general average age matures, there will be a rising number of pensioners who will be required to be replaced, projected at five million by the 2030.
Investigators also state that modernisation and digitisation are steering a need for skilled labour, as it is an essential modification in the United Kingdom’s economy to help the service sector; and by the year 2030, a third of lower-skilled employees will have left their existing profession due to automation.
Revolution and Innovation
Statista’s report also warned that with a ratio of United Kingdom workers being born out of the country, there is a chance of possible loss in available labour by the year 2030.
According to the instigators of the report “The United Kingdom, Canada and Germany will all have shortage of highly skilled workforce and nations like Mexico and Italy will be suffering from previously mounting overflow”.
"Top-notch talented Workers"
Chief executive of the recruitment firm Hays, Alistair Cox, states that the United Kingdom Government’s immigration renovation will permit firms to entice “world-class talent” from across the world.
Furthermore, he stated that it is right that European Union and non-European Union nationals coming to the United Kingdom would be dealt similarly when the free movement between the United Kingdom and European union Terminates on 31 December 2020.
Mr Cox mentioned that if organisations cannot depend on low-paid labours from the European Union, they will have to consider capitalising in their labour force and re-training workers as technology and automation comes to the front.
He further stated that: “To shape a top-notch economy, our industries require access to outstanding talent and not just initiating from elsewhere in the European Union. It’s inappropriate to distinguish between first-class individuals. For example; Migrants from Canada and those in France. I salute the changes.”
