Wood Turning | Vanity Mirror

This week I decided to make a vanity mirror from a piece of ash.

First I turned an outer ring then created the inset for the mirror to drop into and hide the chucking point once I had finished.

I coloured both the front and back black, then using iridescent paints created a pattern with centrifugal painting.

I then turned a podium from some tulip wood and a couple of pieces of dowel from a pen blank to put it all together.
