Schadenfreude In Reality TV Schadenfreude is a German word translated as 'shameful joy', or literally as 'harm-joy'.

Psychologists have separated feelings of Schadenfreude as being aggression-based, rivalry-based, and justice-based. It is essentially finding pleasure in the misfortune of others.
